Indiba Dual
Effective treatment for people and horses
Decreased Pain
Decreased Inflammation
Advanced Healing
How can Indiba treatment help you or your horse?
Humans
Injuries of the musculoskeletal system (muscle contracture, tears and strains, tendinitis, sprains, synovitis, bursitis).
Treatment of painful joint conditions (arthritis, osteoarthritis).
Inflammatory processes accompanied by pain in the extremities and spine (neck pain, back pain, lumbago, sciatica, herniated disc, carpal tunnel syndrome, tension headaches).
Horses
Rehabilitation
Pain management
Accelerating recovery
Immediate post-surgical use or in an acute stage as conservative treatment
Injury prevention
Improvement of quality of life in geriatric animals or in animals with chronic pain or degenerative illnesses that affect the musculoskeletal system
What is Indiba?
Indiba operates at a fixed frequency of 448kHz which is the optimum frequency for biological effectiveness (Hernández-Bule, Trillo, Martinez-Garcia, Abilahoud, & Úbeda, 2017). It can induce both a thermal and non-thermal effect, and research has identified it to be one of the modalities with the deepest penetration potential ( Kumuran, Herbland, & Watson, 2017 ). Kumaran, Herbland & Watson (2017) identified that locations treated with radiofrequency experienced a significant increase in blood flow volume.
INDIBA Radiofrequency operates within a closed system, meaning that the current has to move from the treatment head, to the sternum plate, and back to the treatment head. This provides a significant depth of penetration to reach structures that have not been able to be reached by manual therapy alone, such as the sacroiliac (SI) joints and deep gluteal muscles.
The Effects of Indiba Radiofrequency
Pain Relief
Analgesic effects of radiofrequency are theorised to be caused by altered signal transduction in pain pathways (Rea, Kapur & Mutagi, 2011). Horses treated with radiofrequency experienced up to 95% reduction in lumbar back pain (Snyder, 2018).
Increased Muscle Flexibility
Thermal effects in the resistive mode has been shown to increase muscle flexibility and therefore increase spinal ROM (Yokota et al. , 2017).
Improved Joint Health
The electric current generated significantly increases Sox5 and Sox6 expression, transcription factors responsible for cartilage formation, stimulating chondrogenesis (Hernadez-Bule et al. , 2017). Choi et al. (2011) found that 65% of participants with chronic knee pain experienced at least 50% relief at 4 weeks post-treatment with radiofrequency.
How Indiba works
Increases the volume and intensity of blood flow, oxygen supply and nutrients
Increases tissue temperature
Provides analgesic effect, controls inflammation and accelerates wound healing
Increases cellular metabolism and biostimulation
Provides ionic balance in the cell, which normalises and optimises cellular activity
Allows treatment in areas traditionally not suitable for electrotherapy (compatible with metal implants)

How could my horse benefit from Indiba?
Whether your horse is recovering from an acute injury, has been suffering from chronic lameness, or you simply want to boost muscle and joint function… INDIBA Radiofrequency is able to aid a multitude of conditions either dysfunction or performance related.
Complimentary therapy to physiotherapy/massage/chiropractic treatment in addition to steroid and stem cell treatments.
Decreased pain and inflammation
Improvements to functional movement such as increased stride length and joint range of motion from both a performance and holistic perspective.
Thermotherapy – a heating effect to improve soft tissue fibre relaxation and provide pain relief. Superficial and deep hyperthermia.
Reduced recovery time following performance.
Reduced or no need for joint injections
Accelerated recovery of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries
